If there is one thing that’s certain, it’s that we’re all just about ready to go on vacation. There is nothing better than jet setting off to an exotic location for sun, fun, and relaxation. But, as we all know, there is a lot going on in the world and what we need to do now more than ever is spread kindness and compassion. So why not turn your trip into a more meaningful experience? Whether you’re looking to go to Costa Rica to volunteer with sea turtles or you want to volunteer in New Zealand’s wildlife, there are plenty of opportunities that will leave you feeling refreshed and rewarded. Here are some ideas for doing some volunteer work with traveling.

The Kuterevo Bear Santuary is settled in the hills of Lika-Senj County is Croatia. The Kuterevo Bear Sanctuary was established in order to improve the bear population which suffers due to human presence. The center is open to visitors and volunteers to help orphaned bears develop. You’ll be living in basic conditions with a whole group of other volunteers. It’s bound to be an incredible adventure! The Pupu Rangi Nature Sanctuary is nestled deep in the rainforest of New Zealand, and offers great short-term programs for volunteers who are interested in the wildlife and forestry in New Zealand. You can choose to partake in a week-long volunteering program and is a great educational opportunity to spend time in the jungle and be part of the conservation effort!
