Hollywood is the mecca of glitz, glamour, and jewels galore. And the red carpet is the place to see dazzling diamonds and beautiful bling. Top designers step up their game to drape A-list stars in their jewels. This Oscars award show was no exception. From $20 million necklaces to 115-carat emerald drop earrings, some pretty pricey jewelry has graced the red carpet.

One of the most famous pieces of jewelry to appear at the Oscars was worn by none other than Lady Gaga herself, who arrived at the 2019 Oscars wearing a $30 million 128.54-carat Tiffany Yellow Diamond by Tiffany & Co. The iconic diamond is the famous company’s most historically significant stone. It’s been worn by Audrey Hepburn while promoting ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s.’ Legendary actress Helen Mirren showed up in 2018 in a sapphire and diamond necklace with matching earrings. Both pieces were created by Harry Winston and are $3.8 million. 

Another leading lady to rock some serious rocks on the red carpet was Angelina Jolie. The ‘Salt’ actress walked the 2009 red carpet in a pair of emerald-drop earrings that are now pretty famous themselves. The 115-carat Lorraine Schwartz jewels cost $2.5 million. Not to be outdone, blonde bombshell Charlize Theron has also been known to show up in some snazzy jewelry at the Oscars ceremony. During her red carpet appearance at the 2013 Academy Awards, she complimented her elegant Christian Dior Haute Couture gown in a set of diamond cuffs. The cuffs are worth $4.5 million!

Last but not least, Anne Hathaway has definitely stolen the show on multiple occasions. But perhaps one of the most memorable moments was when she co-hosted the 2011 Oscars with James Franco. Most remember that night because of Hathaway’s seven outfit changes and sparkling necklace. The $10 million Tiffany & Co. Lucida Star diamond necklace had an estimated weight of 94 carats.
