The Biggest Spring/Summer 2020 Fashion Trends
While it might still be cold and windy outside, the current runways are certainly not reflecting it. As the fashion world plans for each season about a year in advance, we’re already seeing the trends that will guide us through those warm spring and summer months. From loud and colorful to business chic, here are a few of the most notable looks.
Crochet All Day

This is not your grandma’s crochet (no offense to grandma, of course). Instead, it’s an elevated version of the boho-chic trend, and a serious homage to the crocheted tops we all wore back in 2005. From Marni to Fendi to Salvatore Ferragmo, the look was spotted just about everywhere.
Hot About Hot Pants

There’s something seriously cool about hot pants. The idea of wearing short-shorts might freak some people out, but if you can manage to pull it off, you’ll look as effortless as Gigi Hadid did while rocking the above look at Chanel’s show. Other designers who paraded their hot pants down the runway include Isabel Marant and Saint Laurent.

Highlighters are usually reserved for the classroom or the boardroom. But this season, designers took this pencil-case essential and manifested it on the runway. Balenciaga, Marni, and Christopher John Rogers are among the many fashion houses to incorporate neon in their Spring/Summer 2020 collections.
Business Casual

This the trend you want to rock when you have an important work meeting, but it’s in Bermuda. While the suit-with-shorts look might not fly in some offices, it’s a great way to make a corporate look more casual. Bottega Veneta, Chloe, and Givenchy apparently agree, as they all flaunted the look at their shows.
