Even though getting out of bed to work out in the AM does not sound as appealing as hitting the snooze button, there are so many benefits connected to this routine. Besides, exercising first thing in the morning means you have a whole exercise-free day ahead of you. But if this is not enough to convince you, here are the main benefits of morning workouts.

Some would argue that the simple act of getting out of bed in the morning is a workout itself. That is, it can be very hard to fight all your instincts of sleeping a few more minutes and actually stand up. But it turns out that exercising first thing in the morning has a better waking-up effect than your morning cup of joe and it keeps you more alert throughout the day.
