The first thing you need to know when it comes to decorating your kid’s bedroom is that it should be a collaborative exercise. This means that you and your kids should give input into how the room looks and feels. Now because it is your kid’s bedroom, you should really allow them to take charge of the room. With that said, it is always best to start with paint colors. The colors of the walls are the first thing that people notice when walking into the room. Luckily there are a number of different colors that you can go with. For this exercise, all your kids choose their favorite colors.

With the wall color selected, you will basically have your color pallet selected. This means that you can go ahead and select bedding, rugs, curtains, and decorations. Now you should know that the size of your kid’s bed will depend on the overall size of their room. You really don’t want to have a bed that is too big or small for the room. This will simply look awkward. With the bed out of the way, you will want to move to decorations. This will include fixtures, posters, and much more.
