Who doesn’t love face masks? Few things in life are as relaxing as the bubble-bath-face-mask combo after a long day at work. However, few things in life are more inconvenient than getting home and realizing we’ve run out of our favorite sheet mask. Luckily, there’s no need to run to the store – you can make amazing masks for your skin from the comfort of your home.

In a bowl, mix equal parts honey and coconut oil, two drops of lavender oil and two tablespoons of ripe avocado. Although this recipe does sound like it tastes delicious, we recommend applying it to your face to prevent redness and irritation. The honey is rich in antioxidants, which help soothe redness, while the lavender oil’s anti-inflammatory properties are great for calming your skin.

Tumeric’s antioxidant and anti-inflammatory components are great for targeting hyperpigmentation. If you are looking to bring out your skin’s natural glow, this is the mask for you. Simply mix equal parts organic honey and turmeric and apply the orange blend to your clean, dry face. After 20 minutes, rinse your skin with lukewarm water and apply your favorite moisturizer.

As you might have noticed, honey is one of the best items to have in your pantry. It is not only a delicious sweetener but also a fantastic DIY face mask ingredient. For this hydrating mask, you will need to mix half a ripe avocado, a tablespoon of honey and some oats. While the oats will help soothe your skin and restore its moisture, the honey will help your skin retain that moisture. The avocado, in turn, will help your skin repair itself quicker.
