The benefit of sports has always been emphasized. Ever since pre-school, or even earlier, children are encouraged to play. As humans grow older, they find different sports interesting. Regardless of which sports one chooses, it is simply necessary to keep your body moving. After all, the human body was designed to move- to hunt, to race, to survive. Our evolutionary advantage lies in keeping our bodies moving.

While we no longer have to hunt for food or run miles to survive another living being trying to kill us, we must keep our bodies moving. Why? To remain healthy. Without regular exercise, our muscles and bones start wearing away. Back aches and leg pains start becoming more frequent, and this seriously impacts the quality of one’s life. Nobody wants that, that is for sure! To ensure physical well-being, incorporate as little as 30 minutes of exercise in your daily routine. Whenever you find the time, it does not have to be early morning. Once you have built the habit of regular physical activity, you will find yourself wanting to do more. Without moving your body in a day, you will feel uncomfortable and easy.

Other ways to keep your body moving includes swimming, cardio workouts, or any other sports, such as tennis or football. Choose to do a physical activity that appeals to you, something you enjoy doing and would not mind doing regularly. Because consistency is the priority; it does not matter if the exercise is not strenuous. The goal here is to not burn calories or build muscles, the goal is to simply keep your body moving! You owe that much to your body; it keeps you alive! Most importantly, it is never too late to start moving your body. Start today, and you will thank yourself tomorrow.
