It’s not like we really need a reason to indulge in delicious foods. But in case anyone was looking for one, we have some good news. Because apparently, on almost every day of the calendar year, there’s a National holiday celebrating some food or another. From beloved sandwiches to cozy comfort dishes, there’s a day dedicated to pretty much every food you can imagine. Here are some of our favorite National food holidays in the month of January.

June 4: National Frozen Yogurt Day

Is there anything better than strolling through the air-conditioned mall on a hot summer day while licking a sweet and refreshing froyo? We think not. Luckily, frozen yogurt is not just a treat reserved for your summer month shopping expeditions, because it’s actually super easy to whip up your own homemade froyo from the comfort of your own kitchen. All you need is some yogurt (we love the greek kind), your favorite fruits and nuts, a drizzle of honey or silan, and you’re ready to froyo.

June 14: National Peanut Butter Cookie Day

Ok, we thought frozen yogurt day was gonna be our favorite, but apparently we were seriously mistaken. National peanut butter cookie day is the holiday we never knew we needed, but are happy to celebrate religiously for the rest of our living days. It’s pretty amazing that this holiday has been right under our noses this whole time. All the peanut butter cookies that could have eaten…it’s a real shame. But we’ll definitely make up for it next year.

June 18: National Sushi Day

If you could eat sushi for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and still have room for more, then welcome to the club. The sushi lovers club, that is. Many people list sushi as their all-time favorite food, and unsurprisingly, sushi restaurants are becoming increasingly popular around the world. Spicy tuna roll, California roll, Shrimp tempura roll – we really don’t discriminate when it comes to this Japanese delicacy. It’s all good to us.

June 26: National Chocolate Pudding Day

For many people, chocolate pudding is simply a children’s snack; A sweet nostalgic treat from our childhoods. However, those people have yet to rediscover the heavenly perfection that is chocolate pudding. Trust us, indulging in this humble refrigerator aisle treasure is equally pleasurable as an adult. Best served cold, obviously. A bit of whipped cream on top never hurt anyone either.
