Freshening Up a Dull Bedroom

Your bedroom is the one part of your home where you spend the most time. Ultimately you spend at least 8 hours of your day in it. With that said it has to be your favorite place but it can’t be your favorite place if it’s dull and boring. Maybe your bedroom isn’t dull but you just want to give it a new look. Luckily there are ways that you can revamp your bedroom without breaking down walls.

When you think about renovating your bedroom it’s best to work your way from the bottom to the top. This means starting with the floors first. You may not think this but changing the flooring in your bedroom can make a major difference to its overall look and feel. You could try to incorporate a rug. Adding a rug to your room helps you add textures and warmth to your bedroom.

However, if you are not keen on the upkeep of a rug then another good tip would be to keep your floors as neutral as possible. Neutral floors make a room look much bigger than what it is. Next, you should look at your walls. Plain walls are totally old school and not exactly fun. Now you don’t have to paint each wall of your bedroom a different color but you can actually add color to it.

You can simply add some art to your walls. You could add any type of art, including pictures sculptures, and paintings. The type of art you add to your walls really depends on what you like and the color pallet of your room. Next, you should look at accent pieces. This simply speaks to lighting fixtures and ornament. Sometimes all you need is new lighting fixtures or even something green to give your room a pop of color.
