Everyone runs into hair problems at some point in their lives. Whether it be excessive dandruff which is causing hair fall or your hair is getting too dry or frizzy, hair problems are very common! There are many over-the-counter products to help you combat hair problems but DIY methods can also be quite effective. They are also more cost-effective since most DIY hair masks can be made with ingredients already available in your kitchen.

If your hair is damaged or has become too dry, an avocado, honey and olive oil hair mask will be your saving grace. Mix half an avocado to 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of honey. Mix the three ingredients well and apply the mixture to wet hair, starting from the roots of your hair to the tips. This hair mask moisturizes your hair, strengthens them, and adds a shine to them!

Another magical DIY hair mask consists of Honey, Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) and coconut oil. This hair mask is mainly used to combat dullness. Mix equal parts of all three ingredients. The amount of each ingredient you add depends on the length and thickness of your hair so adjust accordingly. Mix the three ingredients thoroughly and apply it in your hair, from the roots to the tips. Do not leave it for longer than 20 minutes!

As summers approach, greasy hair is a common complaint. An egg white and lemon hair mask can help combat this issue. Mix one egg white with juice from half a lemon and let it remain in your hair for around 30 minutes to an hour. You can also leave it for longer if you wish and this will yield better results! The protein enzymes in the egg white help absorb the excess oil in your scalp.
