Calling all science fiction fans! Disney recently announced that reservations will open soon for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, a two-day, two-night, all-immersive vacation simulating life in the “Star Wars” universe. So gather your fellow Star Wars fans, and get ready for the experience of a lifetime. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are – Disneyworld always has something for everyone, and that applies to its latest experience as well.

“Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser is a completely new type of experience,” said Ann Morrow Johnson, executive producer for Walt Disney Imagineering, in a Disney blog post. “You’re going to live onboard a star cruiser…and you can get wrapped up in the larger Star Wars story.” Fans will enter the terminal before being sent into space via a launch pad. That’s when they’ll “simulate the experience of blasting off into space,” explain Johnson. Once everyone has landed on the starcruiser, fans will enter through an atrium and that’s when the experience of living on a spaceship begins. “Everything in the spaceship wants to reinforce that feeling of you’re on a star cruiser, in a galaxy far, far away,” Johnson said.

The accommodations feature bunk beds similar to what Chewy used in the movies, according to Johnson. The experience won’t be fully operable until 2021 at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. So there’s still plenty of time to get excited and plan your trip to the family-friendly amusement park. It will certainly be an unforgettable experience, both for fans of the series and their family and friends who come along for the ride. But in case you’re more of a fantasy person, Florida’s many theme parks can accommodate you as well.
