You may have noticed that cycling is incredibly popular. This is because of the fantastic benefits you can experience while doing it. The first and possibly most important thing to remember when it comes to cycling is that it gets your heart rate up. When a workout gets your heart rate up your body tends to sweat. Now sweating is exactly what you want when working out. You see when your body sweats, you tend to lose calories. Burning calories is exactly how your body will shed those extra pounds. Now you may have a few doubts about cycling seeing that you only use your arms and legs.
This is completely normal. Everyone has doubts at first. But what you don’t know is that when you cycle you actually use your entire body. That’s right, even though you are using your legs to move the peddles and your arms to hold onto the bike. You are actually using many more muscles in your body at the same time.
