There is simply no better thing than a milkshake. Gibson’s Gourmet Burgers and Ribs in Cape Town has set a new Guinness World Record for offering the most milkshakes commercially available. Gibsons’ Gourmet Burgers and Ribs offer a whopping 207 milkshakes! The team embarked on setting a new world record in October 2019. The local eatery worked hard to create 207 unique milkshakes. Renowned food expert and chef Pete Goeff-Wood announced that the trendy burger joint has claimed the title of Guiness World Record holder. “We have had the most amazing morning here at Gibson’s Burgers where we have cracked the Guinness World Record for the most milkshakes made.”

South Africa’s loved celebrity chef and book author Jenny Moris and Clarice Gomes, a U-Product development technologist came together to help the restaurant achieve its goal. Each milkshake underwent a rigorous taste test to ensure that it complies with all the requirements set by the Guinness Book of World Records. It was no easy feat to creat 207 unique milkshakes. The Gourmet Shakes list features creative recipes such as the sweet and salted popcorn, tahini chocolate and banana, rooibos apricot and more! The Chocolate Nemisis Freek Shake is topped with oreos, chocolate discs, pretzels, a ganache rim and more sweets and treats.
